Three engagements, each with a clear scope and a written output

Each Brassford engagement is a contained piece of work — defined before it starts, delivered on time, and closed with a document your team owns.

02 — Methodology

How Brassford engagements work

Every engagement follows a consistent working structure: an initial conversation to confirm fit, an engagement letter to set scope and terms, a series of working sessions (facilitated by the consultant), a drafting phase, a review cycle, and a formal close with the final document delivered.

The consultant's role throughout is facilitation and documentation. Decisions remain with the client's team. The consultant asks questions, drafts language, holds the process, and reflects back what has been agreed — but does not direct outcomes.

Each engagement is non-advisory in the professional sense. We do not provide legal, financial, or licensed services, and we are explicit about that boundary throughout the work.

Standard engagement sequence

Step 01

Initial conversation

A short, no-obligation call to explore whether an engagement is a reasonable fit for the situation.

Step 02

Engagement letter

Scope, deliverables, duration, and payment terms agreed in writing before work begins.

Step 03

Working sessions and drafting

Sessions facilitated by the consultant; draft document produced and shared for review.

Step 04

Review, revision, and close

Review cycle completed; final document delivered; engagement formally closed.

Vendor Relationship Mapping

A two-week engagement supporting a small business to draft a written map of its working vendor and supplier relationships — who is engaged for what, the working agreements, the points of dependency. The consultant reviews available records, runs short conversations with team members, and produces a tidy written map and reflection.

The map is the client's reference document, suited for businesses with eight or more recurring vendor relationships. It functions as an orientation tool for new staff, a planning reference at contract renewal time, and a continuity resource if team members change.

What is included

  • Review of available vendor records, contracts, and correspondence
  • Short working conversations with relevant team members
  • Written vendor map — structured, readable, and complete
  • Brief written reflection on gaps and observations
  • One revision round after initial draft review

Best suited for

Small businesses with eight or more recurring vendors — particularly hospitality, retail, light trade, or service businesses in the Prachuap Khiri Khan region — where vendor knowledge is currently held informally by one or two people.

Working Group Charter Workshop

A four-week engagement working with a newly formed or recently re-formed working group to draft a working charter — purpose, scope, working rhythm, decision-making, escalation. The consultant facilitates the working sessions, drafts the charter, and supports revision through review cycles.

The charter is owned by the working group. It is suited for cross-functional groups inside small to mid-sized businesses — groups that have come together around a project, a function, or an operational question, and need a shared written understanding of how they work together.

What is included

  • Two facilitated working sessions with the group
  • Charter draft covering purpose, scope, rhythm, decisions, and escalation
  • Review period with written feedback from group members
  • Revision session to work through comments
  • Final charter delivered to the working group in agreed format

Best suited for

Cross-functional groups within small to mid-sized businesses — a project team, an operational committee, a newly formed initiative — where informal working arrangements have started to create friction or confusion.

Eight-Week Leadership Cadence Embedding

An eight-week engagement embedded part-time with a leadership team to support the working cadence — leadership meetings, decision documentation, working group oversight. The consultant attends agreed meetings, facilitates working sessions, supports drafting of operating documents, and produces a tidy closing reflection at the end.

The work is facilitation and documentation only. It is suited for leadership teams that have a sense that their meeting and decision rhythm could be more settled — and who are willing to spend eight weeks paying closer, more deliberate attention to how that rhythm actually functions.

What is included

  • Part-time attendance at agreed leadership and working group meetings
  • Facilitation of designated working sessions throughout the eight weeks
  • Support drafting operating documents — decision logs, working notes
  • Brief written check-in at the midpoint of the engagement (week 4)
  • Closing reflection document delivered at end of week eight

Best suited for

A leadership team of two to five people in a small to mid-sized business who are at a point of moderate growth or restructuring, and who sense that their internal working rhythm — meetings, decisions, oversight — would benefit from a period of more deliberate attention.
